Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to process the empty aluminum and PET containers for recycling purposes.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Separate aluminum and PET recyclable bags
  • Move recyclables from bag into bin of flattening machine
  • Organize plastic bags and transfer to warehouse dock
  • Monitor levels of recycling trailers
  • Notify supervisor of full trailer and arrange for replacement trailer
  • Clean and organize interior and exterior areas of recycling shop
  • Responsible for meeting productivity requirements
  • Perform other duties as necessary

 Job Requirements

  • Sufficient formal or informal education to insure the ability to read and write at a level required for successful job performance
  • A valid pallet jack certification as needed
  • A valid forklift certification as needed
  • Ability to provide attention to detail
  • The safe operation of all material handling equipment
  • Proper lifting techniques

Work Environment and Equipment

  • Work generally takes place in a warehouse setting. Exposure to hot and cold indoor temperatures. Operation of Can/PET flattening equipment.
